In 2020, 49,000 new cancer cases were reported. By 2030, it is estimated that the figure of new cases yearly would hit 66,000. That is just 8 years from now.
30-50% Of Cancers Are Preventable
Globally, about 1 in 6 deaths is due to cancer. However, between 30-50% of cancers are preventable by healthy lifestyle, public health measures and early detection, treatment and cure.
Reverse The Cancer In Asians
Asians make up nearly 50% of the global population, yet only 5% of genetic studies involve Asians. By funding cancer research, you help to empower Asians with proper screening and treatment, therefore improving survival rates.

Established in 2001, Cancer Research Malaysia is the only non-profit organisation in the country dedicated to the research of cancers that commonly affect Asians, especially Malaysians.

We focus on drug repurposing, as it would shorten the time and cost to bring these drugs to the patients who need it.

We work to close the care gap, because it’s unsustainable to develop new cures when most people struggle getting access to existing ones.
